Will I Ever Fall in Love Again?
A woman pondering the future of her love life
Will I ever fall in love again? This is a question that commonly
comes up in readings, and the answer to this question will always
be the same for everyone who asks me. The answer to the million-
dollar question is ? if you allow yourself to.
People tend to think that everything in life is determined by
destiny, and it's true that a lot of what we experience is brought
our way by the universe. However, when it comes to what is sent
our way, we play a big part in what comes through to us, and what
doesn't come through to us. A lot of it has to do with how open
we are to receiving what the universe is offering us. I'm not talking
about receiving what you want or need. I'm talking about being in
a state that allows your energies to flow freely without much
blockage. Allow me to illustrate this with a common example:
Your boyfriend has broken up with you and you're devastated,
your world has come crashing down and you feel like you'll never
love again. You try your hardest to just suck it up and move on
like so many people are advising you to do. You do your best, but
deep down inside you're still holding onto a lot of the pain from
that past disappointment. Although you're being given
opportunities to be with new people, nothing seems to ever move
forward the way you want it to.
This is a classic case that plays out for many people time after
time, and they always wonder, "Why?" We have been taught from
an early age that pain is bad and that we must avoid feeling it at all
costs. Crying and letting our emotions out are seen as bad things.
So we begin to lose touch with our energy and aren't able to feel
what's going on with it ? this creates blockage. So to answer the
big "why?" above, it's because your energy is being blocked by
past "junk" that you have been conditioned to suppress ? you're
not flowing as you are meant to. By ignoring our energy and only
focusing on the physical, we give up much of the power we have
in deciding the quality of life we live.
So if you're feeling stuck, not just in love, but in any area of life it
would be very helpful to look into healing and contact an energy
worker who can help you get in touch with your energy. You will
be able to see where things are blocked and what issues from your
past you need to release. Keep in mind that it's not a quick fix and
it's basically like learning a new way of living that takes a bit of
dedication. But, it will make a tremendous difference in your life,
and allow you to receive the opportunities the universe wants to
send you.

READY TO BE MARRIED, GOLDEN RULES FOR LADIES:
-No man likes to be talked back to. If you must be a wife material,
just shut up. When he is calm, talk things over. Don't be arrogant,
be humble.
-. Don't be carried away by your beauty. Have you not seen
beautiful ladies that are still single till date? Your good character
keeps him.
- Do not compare him with your EX. There are thousand of other
ladies out there. Forget about the past
- Don't always be at the receiving end, buy him something, no
matter how little it is, whether he has thousands of it, just buy it,
yours is unique.
- Respect him and his family members. Be a good cook, learn how
to cook something. Some ladies can only cook noodles, very bad.
- Call him when you have credit, don't be a chronic flasher'. don't
always wait for him to call. Value yourself, and he will value you. If
he doesn't have today, it does not make him poor, look at what
drives Him.
- What you can't change in him now that you are dating, am sorry
in marriage you won't be able to change it either, or you will
spend the rest of your life trying to change him.
- You are dating and he punches you at every slightest
misunderstanding...Sorry, when you marry him, your bedroom
will be a "changing room" and your sitting-room a "boxing Ring".
-Every little time, he threatens to break up with you. You start
crying, if you leave me i will die...Stop that. who told you? A better person who will value you is coming. Relax !

GUYS: HOW TO BECOME A TOP DUDE IN LIFE
» When a girl ignores
your message twice, leave her alone. She isn't blind,
she just chose to ignore it. There's no
need sending more messages. Move
to the next chic sharply.
» When a girl accept your
request, seriously
typing "tnx for accepting" on
her wall is lame. Do it in her inbox.
Some of you get ignored when you type
that crap on their walls.
» You don't need to be a male
whore. Don't woo every random chic on your list.
Some are good enough to be
just friends with you.
» As I usually stress, don't be a
thirsty dude on a girl's post. If the
post is nice, simply hit "like" and move on. If
you need
to comment, make it brief and
interesting. Don't go begging her to add you.
» If the picture is beautiful, like
it and give a simple compliment. If its not,
there's no need lying to get her attention.
» When chatting you don't spend your
whole time telling a girl how
beautiful she is, a
hundred other dudes tell her
everyday. They find it boring
when you join the train.
» You have those chicks who
have never liked, shared or commented on
any of your posts. They also don't
reply your messages. Please biko, why
haven't you deleted them? You be their
slave?
» If you find yourself always
starting the
convo with a particular person,
like you're always the first to message
her, stop for a while. If she doesn't notice,
you're not
important to her...leave her alone.
» If you guys don't roll, don't
tag her to your pictures. She might find it offensive.
» The lesser of you, the better
for you.
When you are all over her wall,
all over all her posts and all over all her
pictures commenting and liking everything, you are less appreciated because
you are acting thirsty.
» When you compliment a girl
on her picture and another person
compliments the same picture, and the girl thanks the other
person and skips your name, please
remove your comment. It wasn't necessary.

How Important Is Money In A Relationship?
No doubt, money is a desideratum in a relationship. But,
some couples started with nothing, but today they are very
much comfortable.
Many guys are unmarried because of lack of financial
stability. The high cost of bride price and other things
associated with traditional marriage rites dont even
encourage some low income earners to start thinking of
marriage. You see babes dump their guys for richer ones. Some women say they can't date any poor man, in fact they detest poor men.
So what's your take on money in a relationship???

Funny Commandments: 20 Commandments Ladies should Read
1. Thou shall not date any guy out of sympathy. It is not worth it. It has never worth the pain. Ladies beware!
2. Thou shall not do revenge relationship a.k.a let me show my boyfriend I can flirt too. Ladies, that is inflicting more injuries on yourself
3. Thou shall not depend on any man for your daily needs. It has brought more pains than joy to some ladies. Ladies, please!
4. Thou shall never fight over a man. Such men usually don’t have regard for ladies. Ladies, you can ask around if you are in doubt!
5. Thou shall not remain in a violent relationship. You are supposed to be his sweetheart not a punching bag. If he’s looking for whom to punch, refer him to Mike Tyson. Ladies, abi?
6. Thou shall not give IT to him. If he wants IT that desperately, he should put a ring on it. Funny enough, men can wait if they see your worth it. True!
7. Be bold when men toast you. Stop cutting flowers or drawing circles with your leg. Enjoy the ‘toasting’. Don’t forget to pay attention to the pick up lines. Some pick up lines can crack your ribs.
8. If you are not sure of your man especially if the relationship is still new, never take your girlfriend to his house or give her his number or BB pin. Odikwa very risky!
9. As soon as you can, let your man show his face to your people. Your sister or brother or mother. This is very key.
10. Material possessions are good but never let them be the number one factor in choosing a man.
11. Do not forget the golden rule. Always sit like a woman. Some men act like babies when a woman is not properly seated. You know what I mean!
12. Never think you can trap a man with good sex. Fou fou fou… foul! It is an aberration.
13. Be good to men but be firm. Yes firm but don’t scare them away.
14. Men are not in short supply. Don’t let them deceive you. Don’t believe anything in the contrary. Don’t be stampeded into a relationship.
15. If your purpose for financing a man is to keep him, that could be a big mistake. Finance for the right reasons.
16. Men are not the same. Don’t listen to “men are the same jare!” It’s a lie! How many men have you met out of about six billion people on earth? You see am nau, abi?
17. Adventures can be sweet. However, never embark on a long trip to meet a man without informing someone. Never!
18. Guys have a way of saying “don’t let anybody know about us yet.” If the relationship is up to three months and counting, somebody should know about it jor! Better things, they no dey hide am.
19. They say good girls love bad boys. And as a good girl, you are looking for a bad boy to love? OYO for you! Let bad girls love bad boys and good girls love good boys. Nobody should use your head to catch a bullet.
20. Enjoy being single. It does not last forever.
Things A Guy should Never do to Impress a Lady:
We guys have been made to think that we must always do anything possible to impress the female folk. I'm not against a guy loving her babe, I'm against a guy doing silly things in order to impress a lady. The truth is that most times, these actions come back to haunt us while, we get to regret at the end.
1. Consuming too much alcohol: most guys are guilty of this especially when trying to woo a lady or when taking her to bed. This is wrong in so many ways: it will damage your
health, its a temporary measure, you most times end up
misbehaving and its not a guarantee that you'll succeed in wooing or performing well in bed. Besides, the lady will know that you took something and that you lack confidence and esteem. Be yourself.
2. Spending above your means: whether its buying things you don't really need in order to look rich and fly, or spoiling the lady with things you normally should not be buying. Its
wrong. I see a lot of guys do this and I keep wondering to what purpose? The worst is many of them come back to their senses when its already too late!
3. Lying: I'm not talking about the small lies guys normally tell, I'm talking about bragging to a lady about what you're not. Why tell a lady your father is Dangote's brother, or you're a Chelsea player, or you work in Shell. This will make her have high expectation from you which you would be trying to live up to.
4. Badmouthing your fellow guys: Maybe a guy that is also coming after her. Its wrong for a guy to maltreat his fellow in any way because of a lady. Whether its badmouthing, fighting or quarelling with him, its not worth it.
5. Giving your values and beliefs: Maybe you're a committed Christian or Muslim, you start backsliding or become
uncommitted because she told you to. You start to abandon your loved ones and family, your studies begin to nosedive and even your job sef, you become unserious. Its a very silly thing to do because when the chips are down, those are the
only things that will get you going- God, your family and loved
ones and your job which will put food on your table.
6. Pretending to be who you're not: there's no need to
pretend to be a bad guy if you're not. There are still ladies who values good guys. U don't need to force yourself to seem confident if you're a shy guy. People will know you're just acting it up.
Add yours please...
12 WRONG THINGS GIRLS CHECK BEFORE MARRYING A GUY
Many Ladies are known to base their marital decisions on things that will not endure a life-time. These have led many of them into wrong marriages and life time bondage. We need to identify and deal with them:
1) HEIGHT: Every girl’s dream is to marry a tall, dark guy with a baritone voice, I wonder where they got the idea that tall guys are better in marriage. Hey Girls, tall guy can give you tall problems; it is not the height that matters but the depth of the guy in God and in character.
2) MUSCLE: Muscular and heavy looking guys are also lucky, they are seen to be good suitors, and girls do say “they look manly” “they look like real men”. Sorry Girls, muscles do not make a real man, character and ability to shoulder responsibility do. A guy with muscle without character will use his muscles to deal with you and batter your beautiful face.
3) A WELL SET HOUSE: A guy with a well set house is the dream of any girl any day. Many girls will throw caution into the wind to grab a man who have a house with King size; beautiful Italian Settee, micro wave oven, well stock freezer, home theater, refrigerator, gas cooker, Plasma TV,6 by 6 bed, well stuff Kitchen, Dining table, washing machine, dish washers, split unit air conditioner etc is a dream catch for girls any day. Sorry girl, a well set house is good but it may be a well set trouble if the guy is not a man of character, manners or discretion, he will make the house look like a prison yard for you.
4) FAT BANK ACCOUNT: Girls are fond of trying to know how rich a guy is by checking the guy’s phones for bank alerts. They joyfully decide to marry a guy when they discover the guy is very rich with fat Bank balance. What a mistake? They don’t want to know where the money is coming from; they don’t even want to know what the guy does for a living. What concerns them is the money that is available to be spent. Many girls ended up finding themselves entangled for life in this kind of situation, don’t base your marriage on GREED, it won’t turn to GREEN.
5) PLACE OF WORK: Some of our girls are in the habit of making marital decision base on the place a guy works. You dare not talk of marriage to them if you are a Teacher or civil servant. You dare not propose them if you are working with a small firm, or one man business. What an error? Girls note that, that a guy works in ACCESS BANK does not mean he will give you ACCESS to his heart or peace of mind. A guy that works in SHELL may put your life in a SHELL forever, you may not be the FIRST in the life of a guy that works in FIRST BANK, a guy that work in GUARANTEE TRUST BANK may not GUARANTEE your future. He may be working in NESTLE but not SETTLE you at home, So it is not about where he is working but about who is working in Him, God or devil.
6) ROMANCE: A young lady said, “The guy is romantic, hot and sexy, i will marry him” Stop girl!!!!, Romance is not enough for marriage. The truth is, most so called romantic guys don’t remain like that after wedding. Marry a guy base on qualities that will endure, romance don’t last forever, go and ask married women.
7) TYPE OF CAR: A whole lots of girls will be enticed by a guy driving a big and expensive car. Some will not even go out with a guy that does not have a car. If you want to mess yourself as a guy, ride on a bike to go and propose to a lady, you will hear the story of your life. Ladies, a guy that has a CAR may not CARE for you, life is not about CAR, it is about marrying somebody that will CARE for your future.
AND: Most girls will readily marry anybody with US or UK passports, Lots of girls have destroyed their lives in the process of looking for somebody with a foreign passport to marry.
9) HIS PERFORMANCE IN THE CHOIR: It is funny that some ladies are ready to get marry to some guys because they are very good in the choir, they can play Sax, keyboard, drums, trumpet and sing tenor and Bass very well, I wonder whether they want to start a choir band in their houses.
10) RICH PARENT: Children of Rich parents are easy target for many young girls not because they are in love with them, but they know they will have access to money and connection. Many of these guys come from rich are pompous, cocky, proud and will be terrible and irresponsible husbands and fathers tomorrow but girls will not care about that, Most of these girls do live to regret their wrong decision.
Don’t marry anybody just because the parents are rich, marry the person for who he is and the love you share together.
11) FELLOWSHIP LEADERSHIP: Many Christian ladies are ready to die to marry brothers that are in the executives of their Campus fellowship. They fight tooth and nail to get the attention of these brothers, some even go to the extent of offering their bodies. Many of these ladies do think that the best of all men are in the executives of the Campus fellowship, they’ve forgotten that A PRESIDENT OF THE FELLOWSHIP MAY NOT BE A RESIDENT OF HEAVEN.
12) BEDROOM EXPERTISE: One of the most stupid way to make a decision who to marry as a lady is to base it on how good, sexy or terrific a Guy is, in the bedroom. If you base your marital decision on a man’s sexual prowess; you may end up with a play boy instead of a Husband. You may end up getting marry to a sex hunter, instead of a real lover, a universal sperm donor who will sleep with your sister, house maid, friends, girls in the neighborhood, his secretary and anything in skirt that cross his paths. DON’T GO FOR SEX GO FOR SENSE.

20 Romantic Questions To Ask Your Boyfriend
I know some guys would have my head for this but i need to help my sisters out. Trying to get a little bit more intimate with that special someone in your life? Well, get cozy and relaxed with your lover and try out these 20 romantic questions to ask your boyfriend, after thes questions trust me you would know if he is a keeper or not.
1. How long do you see our relationship lasting? There’s no better way to find out how serious someone is about a relationship than with this question. If he says anything other than ‘till the end of time’ or ‘forever’ or something along those lines, you may need to rethink! Whether he wants to admit it or not, every guy knows from day one what he wants from a relationship.
2. How much do you love me? Get ready to be showered with compliments, hugs, kisses and the likes, simply by asking this romantic question. OR else get ready to receive the cold shoulder.
3. What is your opinion of marriage? It’s every woman’s dream to get married, so if your man isn’t on board with marriage you may have a problem. On the other hand, if he thinks the man is a provider who should care for his woman till the end, you’ve struck gold.
4. Do you see us ever getting married? Is there wedding rings and honeymoons in your future? You’ll never know until you ask him this romantic question.
5. What do you love about me the most? Again, this compliment-provoking question is simply one you have to ask. If he doesn't love one special thing about you then he is lying. The easy answer guys give is that they just love everything about you. Big lie dear wink
6. If I died in a horrible accident, how would you react? If he is anything other than terribly distraught for months on end, he might not be as serious as you think he is. Its heart warming to know he won't be chasing other ladies the next minute you're gone or dont you think wink
7. How can I prove my love for you? Feeling like really proving to your guy you love him more than anything on earth? Then you need to ask this question and find out what he’s craving for.
8. Do you feel like you can tell me anything?
Without trust and a bond, a relationship cannot be sustained. If he truly loves you he should be ready and willing to share even his deepest, darkest secrets.
9. Do you still remember our first kiss?
This question is actually more important than you think. Your first kiss was one of the milestones of the relationship and should be one of the most important things to remember. Warning: Hearing your man relive the night you and two shared your first kiss may be a tear jerker kiss
10. Do you remember the day we met? Again, if your man remembers this amazing day, then he is definitely head over heels about you. Plus this question makes for a highly romantic reminiscing session.
11. What about me were you first attracted to? Was it your beautiful green eyes? Your long brown hair? Your hilarious personality? Your bosoms (yeah had to add that grin) Find out what has made your man gaga ever since the start.
12. What song reminds you about me? This can really tell you a lot about what’s going on in his mind. Would he choose a crumby, yet totally adorable song like ‘Brown Eyed Girl’, or is it something a bit raunchy like ‘Ms New Booty’? Nigerian girls really like this part..
13. What’s is the craziest thing you would do for me? If you’re wondering what exactly your man would be willing to do for your love, you’ll find out instantly with this cute question. But don't get all vexed when he says he cant fight a bouncer for you.
14. Would you sacrifice (something) to keep our relationship going?
Would he give up his hateful, jealous friends just to keep you? Would he stop playing video games if it meant saving your relationship? Choose one of his favorite things and see if he’d be willing to give it up for you!
15. Would you be my lover in the next life? If he wouldn’t want you in the next life, he probably doesn’t really want you in this life. Time to hit the ‘end’ button.
16. Would you be loyal even if your celebrity crush tried to sleep with you? Who could resist their celebrity crush? Only a man who truly loves you, of course! Can your man say no to the temptations?
17. Will you be with me no matter what? Even if your looks went sour or you were suddenly dirt poor, your man should still be right by your side through it all. Reminds me of man who got married .to his crippled fiancee
18. What memory of ours do you never want to forget?
Finding out your man’s fondest memory of the two of you is always a heart melter. Enjoy as he reminisces about his favorite moments and take a second to just enjoy what the two of you have been through together.
19. Am I perfect in your eyes?
The answer should always be yes, no questions asked. If he truly loves you, trust me you would be as white as snow before him.
20. Where would our dream honeymoon be?
It’s nice to imagine the two of you eventually saying your vows, exchanging rings, and being together for the rest of your lives. But that’s not all. There’s also the honeymoon. What romantic place would the love of your life take you? A beautiful beach paradise or by the fireplace in a cabin amongst ice-capped mountain tops? Word of advice, don't ask your boyfriend this question if he is a broke nigga, he could break up with you at that instant

FIFTEEN REASONS WHY BEAUTIFUL WOMEN HAVE TROUBLE FINDING MR. RIGHT
2) To a hunter, a woman’s body is a commodity; he wins the game by getting her into bed. To a nice guy, a woman’s body is a sacred treasure; he wins her heart by honoring who she is as a person.
3) Hunters view women as nothing more than prey. By definition, nice guys are missing the “seducer” gene; even if they knew how to “play the game,” their conscience would never allow them to sweet-talk and manipulate a woman for their own selfish interests.
I think men talk to women so they can sleep with them and women sleep with men so they can talk to them.
4) Seducers are more likely to suffer from the disorder known as IAAMATT (It’s All About Me All The Time). Nice guys are more likely to be empathetic, nurturing and other-centered.
5) A woman turns to makeup and fashion to boost her self-esteem and make herself more desirable to men. Yet ironically, the more beautiful she makes herself, the better her chances of attracting the wrong type of guy.
6) The more attractive the woman, the less likely she will be approached by the kind of man who is good in relationships. Conversely, the less attractive the man, the less likely he will approach a woman who is far more attractive than he is. That said, are there nice guys who are attractive enough and/or courageous enough to ask out a beautiful woman? Certainly. But they are a rare breed.
7) The kind of man who values emotional intimacy often looks at a beautiful woman and thinks, “She’s out of my league.” That is the overwhelming reason why so many women are wondering why nobody (or at least nobody worth going out with) ever asks them out. Essentially, seducers view a woman’s beauty as an invitation; nice guys view it as a deterrent.
8) When a beautiful woman gets fed up that only hunters are approaching her and decides to turn the tables by approaching a nice guy, she may be turned off by the reception she gets. In her mind, she’s just striking up a normal conversation. It doesn’t occur to her that she’s catching him off guard, and that even though he’s trying to listen to her, her words aren’t registering because his head is spinning from the fact that a beautiful woman is unexpectedly talking to him. The experience can be so foreign and disorienting that he comes across as a stammering fool. Patience here can pay off, for nice guys often have good relationship potential once the initial shock wears off.
9) Since beautiful women are only approached by hunters, they understandably think that most, if not all, men treat women the way that hunters do. Meanwhile, the nice guys sit in the back of the room and admire her from afar. Of course, identifying the nice guys isn’t that simple; a man may be quiet and reserved, but just because he doesn’t act like a seducer doesn’t mean he doesn’t aspire to be one. The wolf in sheep’s clothing is just one more obstacle on the path to finding Mr. Right.
10) When a beautiful woman repeatedly experiences the same pattern with one hunter after another, she understandably expects that pattern to continue. Frustrated, she may close herself off emotionally to all men, eliminating any chance a nice guy may have of connecting with her in a meaningful way. In this way, her fear of never finding the right guy can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
11) If a woman wants to be swept off her feet by a man who would also make a good lifetime partner, she is apt to be disappointed. The kind of charmers who are sweep-her-off-her-feeters are often the polar opposite of the kind of men who are good in relationships.
12) A nice guy is primarily relationship-oriented; he may first be attracted to a woman’s external beauty, but it is her internal beauty he values most highly. A hunter is exclusively achievement-oriented; he does not value what a woman thinks, says or feels; all that matters is that she has a woman’s body and he wants to get his hands on it.
13) Beautiful women often confine nice guys to the Friend Zone. A nice guy’s worst nightmare is hearing those nine soul-crushing words, “But I think of you as just a friend.” Many happy couples have built relationships on the bedrock of solid friendship, so perhaps it may be wise to rethink what makes good partner material and be open to finding it from unexpected sources. Which brings up the question: Can men and women truly be friends? Yes, but only if neither of them has any romantic interest in the other. If even one of them is harboring hopes of romance, the friendship will reach critical mass sooner rather than later, at which point the friendship must either dissolve or transition into a relationship.
14) If and when a hunter decides to “retire” from hunting and get married, he chooses a woman he can possess for her beauty, not one he can build an emotionally intimate partnership with. What so many admiring men and envious women fail to see is that, throughout a woman’s entire life, her beauty can be as much a curse as it is a blessing.
15) Women who are less attractive to the type of men who only pursue attractive women are more likely to have higher-quality interactions with men. Why? Nice guys are often more comfortable asking out and authentically communicating with women who they feel are more likely to agree to go out with them.
The 15 reasons above are daunting enough but
they’re based on beauty alone. What if the beautiful woman in question is also
brilliant and a successful high achiever? Yep, timid nice guys would view her
as even more intimidating and unapproachable. Ah, but in Mr. Right’s eyes,
those qualities would make her even more perfectly beautiful. Paging Mr. Right
. . . Paging Mr. Right . . .
THE FOUR-WORD SOLUTION
The solution to this dating dilemma is obvious. As a female reader so
succinctly commented: “Man up, nice guys!” What she’s insinuating is that if a
guy isn’t man enough to ask a woman out, he probably isn’t quality relationship
material anyway. That’s not always the case, although a guy who’s intimidated
by a woman’s beauty is likely to put her on a pedestal if by some chance they
did start dating. Excessive doting might sound like a problem many women would
be willing to endure but life on a pedestal can get old very quickly. A mature
woman wants a partner who treats her as an equal; she will settle for nothing
less than being authentically loved, not mindlessly worshipped. In short, a
woman cures a man’s addiction to doting by acting as the anti-dote.THE FOUR-WORD SOLUTION
Demanding that nice guys man up is obvious, yes, but a tall order. In order to approach a beautiful woman, a man needs to have healthy self-esteem. The greater his autonomy, self-knowledge, and self-confidence, the greater the likelihood he will feel worthy of being with an attractive woman. In short, a nice guy has to stop dreaming and start getting after it by doing the inner work that so many guys are reluctant to do.
Ultimately, of course, to make a relationship
work, both the man and the woman have to see and appreciate the inner beauty of
each other’s souls as well as their own. When that day comes, external beauty
will be little more than an afterthought.

12 Signs You Should Break Up With Your Girlfriend or Boyfriend or Spouse
Breaking up
is never easy (especially if it’s not your decision), but oftentimes it
is necessary. Perhaps it’s a matter of growing apart or falling out of love.
Perhaps one or both of you just aren’t into each other anymore. In extreme
cases, perhaps the relationship has become emotionally and/or physically
abusive, alternating between cold, sullen resentment and overt hostility.
People stay
in unsatisfying and/or toxic relationships for a variety of reasons: fear of
being alone, fear of change, the comfort of the familiar vs. the fear of the
unknown, financial reasons, children, religious beliefs, etc. We tell ourselves it’s not that bad
or things will get better as a reason (i.e., excuse) not to make a
difficult, but positive change. Unhappiness in your primary relationship
affects every area of your life—physical and mental health, career and other
relationships.
Below are
some strong signs that it’s time to end your current relationship:
1.
If you’ve been hurt physically.
Ignore excuses and apologies; if violence has surfaced, it will surface again. Get out at the very first strike. This goes for men, too. If your partner, pushes, kicks, shoves or slaps you and/or throw things at you; GET OUT. Physical violence isn’t acceptable from either sex.

2.
When you’re totally incompatible.
If your partner’s dream is to travel the road as a wandering musician and you’re a city person with ambitions, one or both of you will probably be unhappy if you stay together. Relationships have a better chance at being successful with people whom we share similar values and goals.

3.
When he or she isn’t even close to your fantasy.
You may be tempted to stay with someone just because they’re available and willing, but this is generally a bad idea. There should be some chemistry in order to have a successful future.

4.
When he or she just can’t say I love you.
Even if there’s chemistry, if someone can’t express their love for you with affectionate gestures, nurturing, and the words “I love you,” you’ll never really feel satisfied with them.

5.
When he or she just isn’t there for you.
If you’ve been together a while and can’t count on him or her to come get you if your car breaks down, or to attend family or work events, then you don’t have a solid relationship.

6.
When you’re afraid to express yourself.
Being in love should bring out the best in you. It should help you to be less self-conscious and make you more open and alive. If you feel like you’re walking on eggshells all the time because your partner is emotionally volatile and verbally abusive, it’s probably a sign that this is not the right relationship for you.

7.
When your self-esteem is suffering.
If your relationship is demeaning, makes you feel bad about yourself, leaves you feeling like you’re not heard, and you’re getting more criticism than praise, then it’s time to end it. A good relationship makes you feel respected and loved, worthwhile and good about yourself.

8.
When he or she is a philanderer.
Serial philanderers usually have a pattern of behavior. If you discover your mate has that kind of history, don’t believe “never again.” The heartache and torment will never end.

9.
When he or she commits an unforgivable act.
There are single acts so horrid that they should mean the END. If he or she sleeps with your best friend, is disrespectful to your family, consistently criticizes and undermines you, stands you up at the altar, or commits murder, end the relationship with no second chances.

10.
When the same problems recur again and again.
Loving someone doesn’t always guarantee you can spend the rest of your lives together. If you’ve broken up and reunited and you’re still having the same fights, the same problems or different versions of the same problem, especially if you’ve tried relationship counseling, it’s probably best to end the relationship. Saying, “things will be better” and actually making things better by changing attitudes and behaviors aren’t the same thing. The former is lip service and mollification; the latter is growth.

11.
When he or she says, “I need some space.”
The relationship seems to have stalled and your partner says something like, “I want time,” or “I want space,” or “I think we should see other people,” or “I need to devote myself to my career.” Almost always, what he or she means is “I want out.” These things happen, don’t drag it out. You might say, “Sounds like you want to break up. I’m sorry you feel that way, but I understand. I hope we can remain friends.”

12.
When the relationship just doesn’t progress.
Relationships have a natural progression. If you’re not progressing and you can’t pinpoint the cause, you might want to try couple’s counseling. However, if he or she won’t go, or goes but doesn’t think there’s a problem or can’t see his or her role in the problem, and/or uses counseling to blame and trash you while exonerating him- or herself, the relationship is coming to an end.

12 Reasons You're Still Single
It seems
everyone you know is paired off. So how come you're still single? There are
lots of possible reasons. Here are 12 biggies
You Play Hard to Get
Do you
pretend to be busy when asked out? Pretend not to care when you really do?
Playing hard to get makes it hard to find Mr./Ms. Right. In fact, it's likely
to attract just the sort of person who will make you unhappy: someone who
doesn't feel comfortable being close.
Better always to be authentic.
Better always to be authentic.
You Fall for Gender
Stereotypes
Men fear
commitment? Women are needy? Not necessarily. When it comes to relationships,
people fall into one of three basic categories. "Secure" people are
warm and loving and feel comfortable with intimacy. "Anxious" people
seek closeness but worry their love won't be reciprocated. "Avoidant"
people shun intimacy, valuing independence above all. And studies show most
people are "secure."
"Most men and women really do want a close, committed relationship and won't act overly needy or try to push you away.

You're Fixated on Your Ex
Idealizing
an old mate makes it hard to find a new one.
This is a particular problem for "avoidant" people: Uncomfortable with intimacy, they push their partner away. But once the relationship ends, their love resurfaces and they convince themselves that the failed relationship had been terrific. Then they compare every new person they meet to their idealized ex. Who can live up to that ideal?

You Think Love Conquers All
Certain red
flags indicate you're dating someone with an "avoidant" attachment
style - a person who is unlikely to make for a satisfying mate. Does he/she
send you mixed signals? Tell you he/she needs a lot of space? Does he/she say
or do things that make you feel like you represent some sort of
"compromise?"
Maybe it's time to move on.
Maybe it's time to move on.
You Stick with a
"Situationship"
Are you
marooned in a "zombie relationship? Not getting much out of it but unable
to end it? Yes, breaking up can be hard, in part because the mind is under the
control of age-old "attachment circuitry" that encourages you to
stick with your mate. Once you realize this, you've taken your first step out
toward ending a bad relationship and moving on.
You're Stuck on "the
One"
Maybe you
have an ideal mate or relationship in mind and are determined to find that and
only that. If so, it might take a very long time.
Getting stuck on "the one" is something "avoidant" people often do in order to keep true intimacy at bay. Instead of waiting for "the one," Dr. Levine recommends changing your mindset: Choose someone, allow him/her to get close, and make him/her special to you.

You're a Drama Junkie
Are you
"addicted" to the highs and lows of unstable relationships? Lots of
people are. They're drawn to emotionally unavailable people who make them work
hard for every morsel of affection, while dismissing as boring those who are
genuine and forthcoming. Eventually, this leads one to equate anxiety with
love. That's not sustainable. Even worse, you let secure, loving people pass
you by.
You Believe in
"E-Romance"
Online
romances just aren't the real deal. They may meet some of your attachment
needs, but not in a real way. Even if you "graduate" from email to
voice, that's not good enough.
Meet new prospects ASAP, and stick to the old-fashioned kind of attachment.

- You Fear Becoming Dependent
Some people avoid committed relationships because they worry they'll
become dependent on their mate. They think people must retain their
independence at all costs.
This kind of relationship simply doesn't exist. "We're all hard-wired to become dependent," he says. "The trick is to find the right person to depend on."

- You Let Mates "Mirandize" You
Police read the "Miranda" rights to people the arrest:
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be
used against you in a court of a law." In a similar way, some people try
to warn potential mates that they're "not ready for commitment," and
think that doing so absolves them of any obligation to the other person.
If someone tries that on you, spell out your own expectations. Say you're looking for someone to be close to, someone who'll be there and care for you.

- You Think Good Mates Are Scarce
Date infrequently, and you'll inevitably invest a huge amount of
emotional energy into each new prospect. That's a sure recipe for
disappointment.
Better to meet lots of people and desensitize yourself to inevitable dating setbacks. "Just go out there and date,"

- You Think You Should Wait...
Some people think they simply aren't worthy until they lose weight,
amass a certain amount of money, etc. But there's no point in waiting..
"If you're wary of getting out there - and this is especially true of people with an anxious attachment style - the best thing you can do is to start dating with a vengeance," he says. "You can find that special someone and improve while you're with them."
